OUR STORY​
Serving Each Other to Save Each Other
Although reality shows, movies, and books are produced ABOUT us, there is very little produced FOR us. PK4LIFE is all about US – THE PK – it provides a platform of support to the children of ministerial workers and their families. Being a PK automatically and without a choice, makes you a member of a subculture that is constantly in the limelight yet extremely private. PK’s do not have the opportunity of being trained in preparation to be a part of the family ministry/family business – we learn as we go. We are thrown into the trenches of the “congregation” (sharks) and expected to not only survive but to do so successfully with few mistakes.

The life challenges of a PK are many which are mainly centered around church and family on various levels; and because we are sworn to secrecy – and the lifestyle of “appearance”, we are (for the most part) helpless. We are the culture that knows many people; and yet, are very alone – and without a voice. How do we cope? How does a PK whose parents spend most of their time chasing and saving souls for Jesus maintain a personal relationship with Him? So many questions; and not that there are so few answers, where do we go to get those answers? Finally, a place ONLY for you – for US - a safe place where we can share with one another, support one another, save/rescue one another. PK4LIFE is a community where we SERVE EACH OTHER TO SAVE EACH OTHER. Together we can make a difference in our families, churches, and last, but not least…OURSELVES!

Barron and Barron "PK 4 LIFE MINISTRY (FBO) and shall operate exclusively for religious, educational, and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 508(c)(1)(a) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future Federal tax code.​ To maximize our impact on current efforts, we may seek to collaborate with other non-profit organizations that fall under the 508(c)(1)(a) section of the internal revenue code and are operated exclusively for religious, educational, and charitable purposes. The mission of BARRON & BARRON PK 4 LIFE MINISTRY is to create a community of support for the children of ministerial workers through Christian Counseling, Holistic Life Coaching, and CrosstTalk (interactive communication and events).

Tere Barron, a PK2, is the Founder and Executive Director of Barron & Barron PK4LIFE Ministry. She is a Christian Counselor (Pastoral/Marriage & Family), Certified Paralegal/Family Law Mediator, Certified Life Coach, speaker and writer, and is pursuing
an M.Div. in Chaplaincy. Tere is the daughter of Pastor Richard E. Barron and Elder Vivian Steele Barron, who selflessly served the Seventh-Day Adventist Denomination worldwide for over 60 years.
